Established in 1961, Bowles is located on the Kent Sussex border in beautiful countryside, five miles from Tunbridge Wells, with London just an hour away by rail or road. Clustered along a natural sandstone outcrop, accommodation at the centre has been designed to enhance the relaxed Alpine feel created by the fresh air, the rocks and the ski slope.
From its original focus as a non-profit making charity dedicated to developing young people, Bowles has gone on to become a centre of excellence for all types of experiential learning. We now offer a full range of training solutions for organisations, including team, leadership and management development. We are also proud of our fantastic outdoor activity courses for adults, children and their families.
In all these areas, Bowles stands out as a quality provider of learning through experience for everyone: for young people, for schools, for adults, teams and for organisations.
Safety is of course, paramount. In all situations, we maintain the highest possible standards of safety. We have comprehensive risk assessments which organisers are welcome to inspect.
Our staff are mature, dedicated and extremely well qualified - a list of staff and their qualifications is available on request. Quality is uppermost throughout. Bowles is approved by the British Association of Snowsports Instructors, the British Canoe Union, the British Orienteering Federation and complies with all adventure activity licensing requirements. We hold ISO 9001- the International Quality Standard and have been recipients of a National Training Award. |
