At Bowles we place great importance on being able to assist teachers in organising a safe, well-planned and life-changing experience for their pupils.
We are very aware of the burden teachers face in their working week and organising a school trip can be a time-consuming process. Therefore we have put together a zone full of relevant information for Teachers to use pre, during and post-trip to Bowles.
Plan your school visit – use our resources
These planning resources have been put together by us, in conjunction with some of our past school groups. If you are holding a parents evening the ‘slideshow’ and the Bowles video (see brown tabs above – Bowles DVD) may be of particular use to you. Both help to show what Bowles is all about.
Within the Residential Planning Kit you will find lots of useful information and forms to aid you with organising your visit to us.
Also please check out our fabulous new EXPLORER’S JOURNAL. There are some resources to use to help prepare the children for their Bowles visit. The worksheets encourage the children to think about the skills they will need at Bowles and set some personal aims for their time at Bowles.
Extending the experience and taking the learning back to school
“Learning outside the classroom was most successful when it was an integral element of long-term curriculum planning and closely linked to classroom activities.”
Brand new for 2014, this beautifully designed book will help to capture record and enhance the learning during a Bowles visit. It will also be a lovely momento for the children to take home and show Mum and Dad.
