Blind Square

Planning, listening and co-operation skills
Aim
To form a perfect square using the full length of rope provided. One person must be positioned at the outside of each corner of the square and the remainder of the group must be in the middle of the square.
Rules
All team members must wear a blindfold for the whole of the task.
The teams will have 10 minutes to plan, after which time all team members must put on their blindfolds.
Teacher tips
- Works well with older groups
- Make sure the area is safe for the group to move around blindfolded
- Can be made easier by allowing the students to practice with the rope first.
