Minute Circle
Outcomes
Generating ideas, communicating effectively, reviewing or improving a process and leadership skills
Aims
For the whole team to estimate one minute without resorting to any timepieces.
Rules
- All participants start with right foot on a circle of rope (or equivalent)
- After initial planning discussion give the signal to start.
- When they think a minute is up they should place their feet back on the rope simultaneously
- Give the group about 3 attempts to improve on their time.
Tips
- Give enough time for the team to plan.
- Ensure the team have enough time between attempts to refine the process.
- Debrief the activity according to the learning outcomes you have for your group.
